These findings are from the 49th edition of the C-Suite Quarterly Survey which interviewed 153 executives between November 11 and December 6, 2017. Most are concerned about the future of the Canadian retail industry. However, they are optimistic that with more business owners embracing e-commerce, the Canadian sector can grow.

“The country, three-quarters of them say, is actually in a good position to do so, thanks to its work force and adoption of technology,” reports O’Kane, “And they don\’t see the closure of Sears Canada as a bellwether for broader Canadian competitiveness – they believe it\’s a unique case, driven by its own circumstances and management.”

By increasing e-commerce presences, Canadian retailers can become more competitive.

This, according to the survey, is the number one way to make our nation’s businesses successful. The team, here at Canadian POS Corporation, certainly agrees.
